| Wrentham offers a
TRAVEL
program affiliated with
Boston Area Youth Soccer (BAYS), a competitive league in which
teams from other towns compete against each other on weekends.
During late spring, WYS sponsors placement for fall travel teams and
has a third party evaluate players' skills for team selection. BAYS
then places the teams in groupings ("Divisions") with other teams of
roughly equal ability. Each BAYS age group may have up to 5
Divisions, with Divisions 1 and 2 being the most competitive. The
Divisions are further divided into Sections comprising 4 to 6 teams
who play each other during the season. WYS recommends that players
have one season of C-league experience before playing travel.
Spring Season:
Wrentham does not offer an
IN-TOWN
soccer program in the spring.
All children interested in playing spring soccer will be placed
on TRAVEL
teams, and where applicable grouped by ability/experience. There
will be no placements for spring soccer, prior placement or
experience will be used as criteria. Teams will then be placed in
BAYS according to ability/experience. WYS recommends that players
have one season of C-league experience before playing travel. |
