NEFC Columbus Day Weekend (Posted Fall 2011)
 
NEFC is proud to announce the first annual Massachusetts Fall Classic.
 
The Massachusetts Fall Classic will be a Columbus Day weekend tournament open to town travel teams and recreational/intramural teams ONLY (Premier teams will not be permitted).  NEFC has partnered with Mass Youth Soccer to host this event.
 
The Massachusetts Fall Classic will be held at Citizens Bank Fields at Progin Park in Lancaster.  Our goal is to run New England's best Columbus Day tournament for town travel and other local teams, at New England's best soccer complex.
 
Many NEFC players in the Youth Academy through U14 age brackets dual roster, playing for a local team in addition to their NEFC commitment.  NEFC supports local soccer and the place it plays in a young player's social and soccer development.  As part of that support, we encourage all NEFC players who dual roster to play for their local teams at the Massachusetts Fall Classic.  NEFC teams will not be playing that weekend.
 
The Massachusetts Fall Classic will also be part of a broader community, inner-city outreach initiative for Mass Youth Soccer & NEFC, and we hope to provide opportunities within the tournament for inner city children who might not normally have the oportunity to participate in such a great event.
 
With this announcement we hope that you will spread the word about this tournament to your local town programs.  We hope to see teams from all of these programs at our tournament
